On MLK Day of Service, I was proud to serve alongside two West Philadelphia grassroots organizations to support our neighbors and uplift the importance of environmental justice.
Together, we worked to meet immediate needs through food distribution while also highlighting how environmental conditions impact community health, safety, and opportunity. Environmental justice is about more than policy, it’s about the air we breathe, the spaces our children grow up in, and ensuring every neighborhood has access to clean and healthy environments.
This day reflected the core of my campaign’s community-first approach: showing up, listening, and working alongside organizations already doing the work. Honoring Dr. King’s legacy means committing to service not just for one day, but as a standard for leadership.
Because when we lead with service, we lead with the community first.
